The recent election of Rhiannon Knol and Lindsay Wood to the Randolph College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most prestigious of academic honors societies that recognizes seniors for their excellent record of liberal arts achievement and scholarship, affirms what we know about Classics students: they are among the very best! Gratulamini vobis, doctissimis discipulis.
Please join us 5-6:30 PM on Wednesday April 13th in Harriet Fitzgerald to hear the Classics seniors present their research:
Eric Struble, “Setting the Standard: The Roman Triumph Through Time.”
E-J Tate, “Jason: Characterization and Reception.”
Rhiannon Knol, “Effing the Ineffable: Trinitarian language and teaching in Book XI.X of Augustine’s De civitate Dei.”
Congratulations to our accomplished Classics seniors who are off to graduate school in the fall!
Eric Struble was accepted into the Master’s program in Classics and Archaeology at SUNY Buffalo.
Rhiannon Knol was accepted into the Doctoral programs in Classics at Bryn Mawr and UCLA. She will be attending UCLA.
